Elluminate Treatment Q&A

What is the Elluminate treatment?

The Elluminate treatment with the Light EVO device uses multiple wavelengths of light to address several skin concerns in a single treatment. The device combines the 532nm, 755nm, 1064nm, and 2940nm wavelengths from laser devices, such as KTP, Alexandrite, Nd:YAG, and erbium, to create a comprehensive treatment that effectively removes pigmentation and vascular abnormalities from all skin types.

How does the Elluminate treatment work?

Each laser that the Elluminate treatment includes addresses a different skin concern:

KTP (532nm) laser

KTP laser devices improve the appearance of the skin’s texture. Scarring and wrinkles are the most common concerns the KTP laser treats.

Alexandrite (755 nm)

The Alexandrite device addresses pigmentation issues from melanin, which creates the pigment in your skin. This wavelength targets brown spots, hyperpigmentation, and freckles.

Diode (1064nm)

Redness and vascular lesions, such as broken capillaries, spider veins, and rosacea symptoms, respond well to the 1064nm wavelength.

Nd:Yag (2940nm)

The Nd:Yag addresses multiple signs of photoaging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation abnormalities, dull skin, enlarged pores, and other signs of sun damage. This part of the treatment is ablative, meaning it carefully removes the surface layer of the skin to rejuvenate its appearance and reveal the younger-looking skin underneath.

How can I prepare for Elluminate treatments?

About one week before your treatment, you should stop using potentially irritating skin care products that contain glycolic acid, retinol, or hydroquinone. Avoid wearing makeup or other skin care products to your appointment.

How long do Elluminate treatments take?

Each Elluminate treatment takes just 30 minutes. You can enhance your skin’s appearance with minimal downtime. The team can treat the face, neck, decolletage, chest, and hands without numbing creams or anesthetics.

How many Elluminate treatments will I need?

Many people experience noticeable improvements in the tone and texture of their skin after only one treatment. However, the Rouge Aesthetics team may recommend up to three treatments, spaced a few weeks apart, to achieve your desired results. At your initial consultation, the team can create a personalized treatment plan to address your specific concerns.
